Boboty

Boboty is a mountain peak in the Malá Fatra range located in Žilina District, reaching approximately 1085 meters in elevation. The summit features steep rock faces and dense forest coverage that blankets its slopes.

The mountain pass served as a strategic point controlling trade movement between different regions of Slovakia across many centuries. Its location made it an important reference in the network of routes that connected communities.

The northern face of the mountain contains limestone formations that create natural stone windows and passages through the rock. These geological features form an intricate natural maze that adds an unexpected element to hiking routes.
