Lungi Bridge

Lungi Bridge is a road bridge project spanning the Sierra Leone River estuary with four traffic lanes and space reserved for a future railway line. The structure stretches approximately 7.6 kilometers and will create a direct connection between Freetown and Lungi.

Sierra Leone's government signed a contract in 2023 with a major construction company to build this infrastructure. The project represents a significant modernization effort in the nation's transport connections.

The bridge project represents Sierra Leone's commitment to modernize transportation infrastructure and marks a shift from traditional water-based transit methods.
