Governor's Palace of Mogadishu, Colonial administrative palace in Mogadishu, Somalia.
The white stone palace stands on Corso Umberto street with direct views of the Indian Ocean and the port of Mogadishu.
The palace, constructed between 1926 and 1928, functioned as the residence of Italian governors during the colonial administration of Italian Somaliland.
The interior incorporated both Italian and Arab architectural elements, including the Arab Hall with Islamic decorations and the Gothic-styled Justice Chamber.
The palace featured two distinct levels: a ground floor for administrative functions and a second floor reserved for accommodating royal visitors.
Archaeological excavations in the palace gardens revealed remains of El Muzaffar, an ancient Arab palace that previously occupied the location.
