Mandoul Region, Administrative region in southern Chad
The Mandoul Region extends across the southern plains of Chad, containing three departments and numerous settlements with Koumra as its capital city.
The region emerged from the former prefecture of Moyen-Chari and developed into one of Chad's 23 administrative territories with established local governance structures.
Mandoul's population includes Day and Doba peoples who communicate in Bedjond, Mango, and Gor languages, forming distinct communities across the territory.
Koumra, positioned 448 kilometers southeast of N'Djamena, serves as the administrative center with four arrondissements containing multiple residential neighborhoods.
The region maintains substantial cotton production facilities and agricultural operations, supporting a population of over 628,000 inhabitants across its territories.
