Assumption Cathedral

The Assumption Cathedral is a Catholic house of worship in Bang Rak District, featuring Romanesque architectural elements with tall spires and large stained glass windows on its white exterior walls. The building dominates the street with its vertical structure and bright surfaces that stand out strikingly in the tropical sun.

The building was founded in 1821 during King Rama II's reign and underwent major reconstruction from 1910 to 1918 with funding from businessman Low Khiok Chiang.
