Sawang Daen Din, Administrative district in Sakon Nakhon Province, Thailand.
The district spans 970 square kilometers across western Sakon Nakhon, containing 16 sub-districts and 189 administrative villages at 170 meters elevation.
The district transformed from Mueang Sawang Daen Din to its current administrative structure during the Thesaphiban reforms of 1900, receiving its present name in 1939.
The region maintains traditional Islamic practices with scheduled prayer times including Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha throughout its communities.
The district operates through seven sub-district municipalities and eleven administrative organizations, serving a population of 150,786 residents with a density of 151 people per kilometer.
The territory borders nine different districts across two provinces, creating an administrative hub between Sakon Nakhon and Udon Thani provinces in northeast Thailand.
