Wat Khun Inthapramun, Buddhist temple in Bang Phlap, Thailand.
Wat Khun Inthapramun is a registered historic Buddhist temple in Bang Phlap, Thailand, known for a large reclining Buddha figure and a tall stupa rising over the compound. Several buildings are spread across the grounds, housing Buddha statues of different styles along with religious objects placed throughout the site.
The temple traces its origins to the 18th century, when it grew from a local brick-making site into a religious center during the later years of the Ayutthaya period. After the fall of Ayutthaya, it was restored and continued to serve as an active place of worship in the region.
Visitors can watch local people bring flowers, incense, and food as offerings throughout the day, following routines that are part of everyday life here. The reclining Buddha draws particular attention from devotees, who often stop to pray and leave small gifts at its base.
Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the grounds have uneven surfaces and some elevation changes between different parts of the site. Visitors should cover their shoulders and knees, since this is an active place of worship and modest dress is expected.
A small museum on the temple grounds displays traditional wickerwork made from Sisuk bamboo, a craft passed down through generations within this community. The tools and finished pieces on display show how the temple has also served as a keeper of local craft knowledge, not only a place of worship.
