Hua Hin

Hua Hin is a seaside resort along the Gulf of Thailand with a sandy beach stretching about 5 kilometers, featuring shallow waters on the northern Malay Peninsula in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The town offers beachfront restaurants, golf courses, and numerous lodging options for visitors.

The construction of the Railway Hotel in 1921 and King Prajadhipok's summer palace transformed this former fishing village into Thailand's first beach resort. Royal patronage shaped the place as a leisure destination from the beginning.

The Cicada Market brings together local artists and craftspeople every weekend, with traditional Thai art displayed through live performances and exhibitions. You can watch makers work on their crafts and buy handmade items directly from them.

The town is easily reached by train or bus from Bangkok, making it convenient for a day trip or longer stay. Most beaches and restaurants cluster along the northern shoreline, so walking the waterfront is a good way to explore what is available.

Ratchaphakdi Park displays seven bronze statues of former Thai kings, each standing 14 meters tall against the coastal backdrop. These sculptures are impressive monuments that many visitors discover beyond the typical beach experience.
