Si Racha

Si Racha spans across 616 square kilometers of coastal terrain, incorporating eight subdistricts between the cities of Chonburi and Pattaya along the Gulf of Thailand.

The district grew from a small fishing settlement into a major industrial center following the establishment of Laem Chabang port in the late 20th century.

The district gave its name to the internationally recognized sriracha sauce, which originated from local Burmese workers who created the chili condiment using fresh ingredients.

Si Racha connects to major transport networks through Highway 7 and the Laem Chabang port, with regular bus services operating between Bangkok and local destinations.

The Khao Kheow Open Zoo maintains a collection of Bengal tigers that interact with pigs, offering visitors an opportunity to observe this unusual animal relationship.
