Tham Pha Tha Phon Non-hunting Area

The non-hunting area spans across limestone karst formations, featuring multiple caves and natural water systems alongside dense forest vegetation.

The Thai government established this protected zone in July 1983 to preserve local wildlife populations and maintain ecological balance in Phitsanulok province.

Local communities near the non-hunting area maintain traditional agricultural practices while supporting wildlife conservation through monitoring and education programs.

Visitors can reach the reserve by taking Highway 12 from Phitsanulok city, followed by routes 11 and 129, covering approximately 62 miles.

The Ban Mung River flows through the protected area, creating numerous small waterfalls and natural pools within the limestone landscape.
