Jendouba, Administrative region in northwestern Tunisia

The Jendouba Governorate spans 3,102 square kilometers between Algeria and the Mediterranean Sea, featuring mountains, forests, and 25 kilometers of coastline.

Established on June 21, 1956, this governorate was initially named Souk El Arba until May 31, 1966, when it received its current designation.

The region maintains nine delegations with distinct market days, where local farmers trade cereals, vegetables, and fruits from their agricultural production.

The territory contains four major dams, 155 industrial companies, and an extensive network of 1,200 kilometers of roads connecting its eight municipalities.

The governorate receives the highest rainfall in Tunisia, with annual precipitation reaching 1,500 millimeters in Aïn Draham, supporting extensive agricultural activities.
