Turbat Al Bai, Royal mausoleum in Medina of Tunis, Tunisia
The Tourbet El Bey features decorated ceilings, carved wooden elements, and intricate tile work throughout its interior and exterior architectural design.
Built during the reign of Ali II ibn Hussein, this 18th-century mausoleum contains the tombs of multiple Husainid dynasty rulers of Tunisia.
The burial chambers display traditional mosaic artistry and Islamic calligraphy that narrate the stories of the entombed Tunisian royal family members.
Located at Rue Sidi Dkhil in Tunis, the mausoleum remains accessible for visitors exploring the southwest section of the historic Medina district.
This structure stands as the largest funerary monument in Tunis, with specific members of the Bey family, including Moncef and Lamine, buried elsewhere.
