Bayrampaşa

Bayrampaşa is an urban district on Istanbul's European side with multiple residential neighborhoods connected by major roads and transit stations. The area also houses large shopping and entertainment facilities that serve both residents and visitors.

The district was formerly called Salmancilar before being renamed in the 1970s after an influential Ottoman statesman. This change marked a turning point as the area began developing into a modern urban zone.
