Yalova Province, Administrative province on eastern coast of Sea of Marmara, Turkey.
The Yalova Province extends across 798 square kilometers of northwestern Turkey, making it the smallest administrative division in the country.
The region transformed from a district of Kocaeli Province before 1930 to part of Istanbul Province until 1995, when it became an independent province.
The province contains six districts including Termal, known for thermal springs that have attracted visitors since the Byzantine period for therapeutic purposes.
Regular ferry services connect Yalova to Istanbul through Yenikapi and Pendik terminals, with journey times between 45 and 75 minutes across the Sea of Marmara.
The Moving Mansion museum showcases a building that engineers relocated on tram lines in 1929 to preserve a plain tree that threatened its foundation.
