Sinan Pasha Mosque

The prayer hall contains a main dome measuring 12.6 meters in diameter, supported by six arches and two hexagonal piers constructed of brick and stone.

Admiral Sinan Pasha initiated the construction in 1554, with a gilded Arabic inscription marking its completion in late 1555 after his death.

The mosque incorporates a madrasa on three sides of its forecourt, functioning as both a religious center and an educational institution for the community.

The rectangular drinking fountain in the courtyard serves visitors, while the mosque maintains regular prayer times following Islamic traditions.

The building features alternating layers of ashlar and brick construction, with the original double portico integrated into the prayer hall during modifications in 1749.
