Surp Asdvadzadzin Church

Surp Asdvadzadzin Church is an Armenian Orthodox building in Beşiktaş with a stone structure and a central dome at its core. The interior walls display symmetrical painted designs that give the space its visual character.

The present building was constructed in 1838 by architect Garabed Amira Balyan as a replacement for a wooden chapel demolished in 1759 due to unauthorized expansion. This reconstruction marked a turning point for the Armenian community in the area.
