Çadır Köşkü, Ottoman pavilion in Yıldız Park, Turkey
The Çadır Köşkü stands as a refined pavilion within Yıldız Park, featuring Ottoman architecture with intricate details and decorative elements throughout its structure.
Sultan Abdülaziz commissioned the construction of this pavilion between 1865 and 1871, initially naming it Sedir Köşkü, with architectural design by Sarkis Balyan.
The pavilion functioned as an imperial meeting space where Ottoman sultans conducted diplomatic affairs and received distinguished guests in a formal setting.
Visitors can access the pavilion through Yıldız Park's main entrance, with the structure now operating as a restaurant offering Turkish dining experiences.
This pavilion gained additional historical significance as the location where Mithat Pasha was interrogated and held captive for sixty-six days.
