Yıldız Porcelain Factory

The Yıldız Porcelain Factory Museum displays collections of handmade ceramics, tableware, and decorative items produced through traditional manufacturing methods since the 1890s.

Sultan Abdülhamid II established the facility in 1891 as part of Ottoman industrialization efforts, with Italian architect Raimondo d'Aronco reconstructing it after an earthquake in 1894.

The factory maintains Ottoman artistic traditions while incorporating European influences, producing pieces that combine Turkish patterns with Western ceramic techniques.

The museum opens Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering guided tours and a shop where visitors can purchase authentic porcelain items.

Every piece produced at the factory carries its distinct emblem and the hegira calendar year 1312, along with the signature of the artist responsible for its creation.
