Hüdavendigar Mosque, Ottoman mosque in Bursa, Turkey.
The Hüdavendigar Mosque features twenty domes arranged in four rows, supported by twelve columns, accommodating up to 5000 worshippers within its rectangular layout.
Built between 1396 and 1399 under Sultan Bayezid I, the mosque underwent significant restoration after the 1855 earthquake, with French architect Léon Parvillée leading repairs in 1863.
The mosque contains 192 monumental wall inscriptions created by 41 different calligraphers, displaying verses from the Quran and names of important Islamic figures.
The mosque operates from 8 AM to 6 PM daily, with visitor access scheduled around prayer times and women required to cover their heads before entering.
An eighteen-cornered water basin fountain stands in the interior, originally constructed for ritual ablutions, with a dome designed to channel natural light.
