The 22-meter tall steel and copper statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stands on Atatepe hill, overlooking the city of Artvin.
The monument represents Atatürk's stance at Kocatepe before the Great Offensive, completed in 2012 by Georgian sculptor Jumber Jikia with a team of 100 craftsmen.
The memorial site includes a 60-meter flagpole with a 216-square-meter Turkish flag, symbolizing national identity and independence.
The complex features granite-paved paths, observation terraces, restaurants, and cafeterias, welcoming more than 35,000 visitors annually.
The monument contains 1,480 steel construction pieces assembled using 52 steel pipes, with segments weighing 19 tons for legs, 18 tons for body, and 9 tons for head.
