Daan Forest Park, Urban park in Daan District, Taiwan.
Daan Forest Park is an urban green space covering 26 hectares in Taipei's Da'an District. Two ponds, several forested sections, and paved paths create a sequence of open lawns and shaded zones.
The city government opened the site in 1994 on land that had been designated as Park Number Seven since 1932. Settlers and military housing were relocated beforehand to make room for the grounds.
The park contains an amphitheater that hosts regular cultural events, including the Islamic Cultural Fair and seasonal festivals throughout the year.
The Daan Park metro station sits right at the park edge and allows quick access through its exits. Weekends bring many joggers and families, so weekday mornings are often quieter.
Ducks and herons nest in the ponds and attract watchers who bring binoculars. Turtles often bask at the water's edge and provide quiet moments for photographers.
