Linrong Shin Kong Station, railway station in Hualien, Taiwan
Linrong Shin Kong Station is a railway stop on the Taitung Line in Fenglin Township. The station features an underground structure with two side platforms and opened in 2018, making it one of the newest stops on this route.
A railway station called Pinglin stood at this location since the early 1900s and was renamed Linrong in 1962. The original station closed in the 1980s when a new route with a tunnel was built, and the current station opened in 2018 with support from the Shin Kong Group.
The station's name comes from the nearby Shin Kong Chao Feng Ranch, a major agricultural company that supported its construction. This modest station is woven into local daily life, serving as a gathering point for residents and visitors traveling to the surrounding countryside.
The station is located just beyond the Xikou Tunnel and is within easy walking distance of Shin Kong Chao Feng Ranch. The station has a simple, modern design with shelters and seating, and several train services including the Puyuma Express stop here daily.
The station is one of the few underground stops on the Taitung Line, making it architecturally distinct. This underground placement is uncommon for this route and resulted from the construction of the Xikou Tunnel.
