Miaoli Ceramics Museum, Ceramics museum in Gongguan, Taiwan.
The two-floor museum displays thousands of ceramic pieces showcasing different glazing techniques, traditional tools, and modern artistic creations from the region.
The museum opened in 2005 in a former military maintenance facility, transformed to preserve and present the ceramic traditions of Miaoli County.
Traditional wood-fired kilns within the museum demonstrate the firing process that reaches temperatures of 1200 to 1250 degrees Celsius over 72 hours.
The museum offers free admission and remains open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with parking facilities available for visitors.
Visitors can participate in pottery workshops to create their own ceramic pieces while learning about the distinct glazing patterns produced in Miaoli kilns.
