大崙頭山, Mountain peak in Neihu District, Taiwan
Daluntou Mountain is a peak in Neihu featuring a stairway system that winds through forested slopes toward a viewing platform at the summit. The entire route is equipped with handrails and trail markers that make navigation straightforward.
The mountain was added to the Xiao Bai Yue list in 1992, a program created to introduce hikers to Taiwan's peaks. This designation helped establish it as an accessible entry point to recreational mountaineering.
The mountain serves as a popular training ground where hikers build confidence before tackling more demanding peaks. The well-maintained trails and accessible elevation attract both beginners and experienced walkers who share the paths and rest spots throughout the day.
The mountain is most easily reached by taking the S2 shuttle from Neihu Station to Hengguang Temple, followed by a short walk to the trailhead. The ascent is well organized, with plenty of rest spots positioned along the stairs.
From the viewing platform, hikers can see Tamsui sprawling in the distance on clear days, while the Yangmingshan mountains often appear veiled in morning mist. This view draws many people who want to capture the scenery with cameras.
