Shengren Waterfall

Shengren Waterfall is a mountain waterfall in Yangmingshan National Park that drops over rocky terrain in several stages as it descends. The water falls from considerable height and creates fine mist as it makes its way downward, visible from designated viewing areas along the hiking routes.

The waterfall became part of Yangmingshan National Park when it was established in 1985 to protect Taiwan's mountain landscapes. Since the park's creation, this site has developed as a popular destination along the region's established hiking routes.

Local residents frequent this waterfall during Taiwan's traditional mountain hiking activities, particularly during spring and autumn seasons.

The site is best reached on foot using hiking routes in the park that connect from nearby transit points. Proper footwear is important as paths can become slippery, especially after rain or in wet conditions.

The best photography happens in early morning light when the sun illuminates the water droplets and creates rainbow effects in the mist. Many visitors miss these moments because they arrive in the afternoon when the sun is higher in the sky.
