Grass Mountain Royal Guest House, Historical guest house in Yangmingshan National Park, Taiwan.
The Grass Mountain Royal Guest House spans 7,200 square meters and features traditional architectural elements with surrounding landscaped gardens and a central building.
Built in 1920 by Taiwan Sugar Corporation, the residence received Emperor Hirohito as a guest and later became Chiang Kai-shek's first official residence in 1949.
The building functions as a museum and exhibition center, displaying artifacts and photographs that document Taiwan's political transformation through the decades.
The guest house includes a restaurant serving traditional dishes at NT$488, with guided tours available throughout the restored historical spaces and gardens.
A decorative fish pond in the shape of the Chinese character for heart stands within the grounds, connecting traditional symbolism with landscape design.
