Beitou Museum

Beitou Museum is a folk culture museum in Taipei housed in a building that dates to the early 1900s and reflects Japanese colonial design. The structure combines wooden framing with large window openings, and inside you'll find several exhibition spaces filled with objects that document local history and regional life.

The building was constructed in 1921 as a hotel and briefly housed Japanese military personnel during World War II. Its transformation into a museum has preserved this layered past, allowing visitors to understand the place's changing purposes through time.
