Chaojhou Coach Yard

Chaojhou Coach Yard is a large railway maintenance facility in Chaozhou Township, Pingtung County, equipped with specialized maintenance bays and diagnostic equipment. The yard performs daily servicing and inspection work on trains that operate along the Pingtung railway line.

The facility was established in October 2015, marking a major advancement in railway infrastructure for Taiwan's southern region. It was built to handle the growing demands of modern train operations in the area.

The yard displays historical railway equipment that tells the story of how Taiwan's rail system evolved over time. You can see vintage machinery and cars that once served the island's transportation network.
