An-Nur Tongkang Mosque, Islamic prayer center in Donggang Township, Taiwan
The three-story religious building contains dedicated spaces for prayers, ablutions, and Quran reading, accommodating 120 worshippers at No. 115 Xingyu Street.
The mosque opened on February 18, 2018, after a decade of fundraising efforts by local Muslims who previously gathered in a rented house at Fengyu Street.
The establishment serves as the eighth mosque in Taiwan and represents the first Islamic prayer facility in Pingtung County for Indonesian fishermen.
The renovation of the building included installation of air conditioning systems and washing areas, with a total investment of 6.4 million New Taiwan dollars.
Taiwan's Interior Minister recognized the mosque founder during a tribute ceremony on International Migrants Day, December 9, 2018.
