Policemen Temple, Chinese temple in Chaozhou, Taiwan.
The Policemen Temple features traditional Chinese architecture with intricate carvings, decorative lanterns, and houses multiple deity statues including the Three Mountain Kings, Guan Gong, and other protective spirits believed to safeguard law enforcement officers.
Established in 2004 after local police officers discovered five damaged deity statues in 2003, the temple was built within the police station premises to provide a proper home for these religious artifacts and create a spiritual sanctuary.
The temple serves as Taiwan's only police-operated religious facility, combining traditional Chinese folk beliefs with modern law enforcement culture, where officers and community members participate in seasonal ceremonies to pray for public safety and divine protection.
Located at 12 Zhongshan Road within the Chaozhou Police Station grounds, the temple offers free access to visitors and maintains regular worship hours aligned with traditional temple customs, requiring respectful dress and behavior from all guests.
This temple distinctively houses both a main shrine for protective deities and a separate General's Hall commemorating fallen military and police personnel from different historical periods, including Japanese colonial era officers and modern-day heroes.
