Galitska Synagogue, Orthodox synagogue in Zhylianska Street, Kyiv, Ukraine
The Galitska Synagogue features a grand facade incorporating elements of Romanesque and Byzantine Revival architecture with ornate decorative patterns and large arches.
Constructed in 1910, the synagogue endured damages during World War II and operated as a workers' canteen for the Transsignal electrotechnical plant for five decades.
The synagogue houses the Midrasha Tzionit learning center, which provides courses on Jewish history, tradition, ideology, Hebrew language, and Tanakh studies.
Located at 97a Zhylianska Street in Kyiv, the synagogue maintains regular religious services and educational programs under the guidance of Rabbi Yaakov Bleich.
Following its restoration between 2002 and 2004, the synagogue returned to its original function as a religious center after fifty years of industrial use.
