The building features a dual-axis facade composition with side projections, decorated with brick, plaster, and ceramic ornamental elements spanning two floors.
Between 1890 and 1905, architect Oleksandr Verbytskyi designed this structure for merchant Ivan Utkin, who traded oil paints in central Kyiv.
The building represents the Neo-Renaissance architectural style of late 19th century Kyiv, with characteristic decorative elements and attic formations.
Until 2021, the building contained active offices and maintained regular operations at 29 Symona Petliury Street near the Kyiv central station.
The structure used bricks manufactured at the Kyiv merchant Hryhory Yasko factory, featuring specific construction techniques of that period.
