Dnipro Arena, football stadium
Dnipro Arena is an association football stadium in Dnipro, Ukraine, built to hold approximately 31,000 spectators. The venue features four main stands with clear sightlines to the pitch and modern facilities designed for both fans and players.
The stadium opened in 2008 after three years of construction, replacing the older Meteor Stadium that had served the city since the 1960s. The new venue was built because the previous facility lacked adequate seating, had no roof, and could no longer meet the needs of a modern football club.
The stadium is where fans gather to support their team and share their passion for football together. On match days, the stands fill with people wearing team colors, creating a strong sense of community and local pride.
The stadium is located close to the city center and can be reached by public transport or car, though parking is limited on match days with only around 110 spaces available. The train station is within walking distance after a brief journey, and nearby hotels and restaurants make it convenient for visitors traveling from out of town.
The stadium served as home to FC Dnipro until the club went bankrupt in 2019, later replaced by SC Dnipro-1 which also ceased operations in 2024. With no permanent tenant, the arena failed to find a buyer at auction and now sits waiting for new purpose or ownership.
