Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, Eastern Orthodox cathedral in Livoberezhnyi Masyv, Kyiv, Ukraine

The Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ sits on the left bank of the Dnieper and displays a contemporary design marked by pure white marble surfaces and five large crosses visible from a distance. The religious complex includes multiple buildings that house both worship spaces and administrative functions for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

Construction began in 2002 under architect Nikolay Levtsjoek and opened for its first service in 2006 during the Epiphany feast. The cathedral's consecration took place in 2013, marking the official completion of this modern religious center.

This cathedral serves as a spiritual center for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community, bringing together worshippers from across the country for prayer and religious ceremonies. The gleaming white structure has become a recognizable landmark for members of this faith tradition.

The location on the Dnieper riverbank makes it easy to find and reach, especially when spotting the white structures and crosses from a distance. Visitors should wear appropriate clothing and check ahead about services or major feast days, as these times can draw large crowds.

The crypt beneath the cathedral holds relics of twelve apostles, including Saints Peter, Paul, and Andrew, drawing pilgrims from various regions. This collection of sacred remains makes the location a special destination for devoted visitors.
