Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, Eastern Orthodox cathedral in Livoberezhnyi Masyv, Kyiv, Ukraine
The Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ stands on the left bank of the Dnieper River, featuring pure white marble altars and five prominent crosses.
Construction of this religious center began in 2002 under architect Nikolay Levtsjoek, with the first service taking place in January 2006 during the Epiphany feast.
The cathedral contains relics of twelve apostles, including Saints Peter, Paul, Andrew, and the Holy Martyr Josaphat Kuntsevych within its consecrated walls.
The religious complex spans 1.72 hectares and includes administrative buildings, making it a central location for Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church activities.
During the 2013 consecration ceremony, between 20,000 and 50,000 pilgrims gathered alongside 700 priests to mark this significant religious milestone.
