Kyiv in Miniature, Miniature park in Hidropark, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Kyiv in Miniature is a miniature park on Hidropark Island featuring approximately 48 detailed architectural models at 1:33 scale. The models showcase important buildings and structures from across the capital city.
The project began in 2002 and required four years of intensive work before opening officially in 2006. The site developed from a desire to make Kyiv's architectural history accessible in compressed form.
The collection displays reproductions of the city's landmarks such as Independence Square and Saint Sophia Cathedral. These models help visitors understand Kyiv's architectural identity in a playful way.
The park sits on an island and is best reached on foot or by short ferry. It helps to allow plenty of time for exploring and photographing the models.
The park houses about 700 tiny figures representing daily life, along with moving elements such as vehicles and aircraft. The miniature airport even features working models with animated movements.
