Rusanivka Metro Bridge

Rusanivka Metro Bridge is a double-deck crossing over the Dnieper River with separate levels for subway trains and vehicles. The lower section handles automobile traffic while the upper deck carries the subway line connecting the city center to eastern districts.

This crossing opened in 1965 as a replacement for an earlier bridge destroyed during World War II. It became an important Soviet-era project that reconnected the city across the Dnieper during the postwar reconstruction period.

The bridge forms a key part of daily life for commuters crossing between central Kyiv and its eastern suburbs. It stands as a symbol of Soviet-era infrastructure development that shaped the city's modern layout.
