The five-tier brick bell tower stands 96.5 meters tall with a foundation made of granite and walls reaching 8 meters in thickness.
Construction of the bell tower began in 1731 under architect Johann Gottfried Schaedel, requiring 5 million bricks and 20 thousand tons of lime materials.
The tower features architectural elements from different orders: 32 Dorian columns on the second tier, 16 Ionic on the third, and 8 Corinthian on the fourth.
Visitors can climb to the third-tier viewing platform for panoramic views while hearing the 4.5-ton clock mechanism chime every fifteen minutes.
The entire structure leans 62 centimeters toward the northeast from its central axis, making it a notable example of historical architectural settlement.
