Церква всіх преподобних отців Києво-Печерських, Orthodox temple in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Ukraine
The Church of All Venerable Fathers is a stone building with two floors situated near the Near Caves within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra complex. The structure houses religious artifacts and serves as a place for worship and prayer.
The building was first constructed in 1839 as monastic cells and underwent transformation in 1872 when the upper floor was converted into a church dedicated to the Venerable Fathers. This change reflected how the site adapted to serve shifting religious needs over time.
The interior walls display religious images showing scenes from the lives of Orthodox saints and biblical stories, created by iconographers from Rivne under Oleg Borovik's direction. These artworks shape how the space looks and feels to visitors today.
The interior maintains steady temperatures year-round, making visits comfortable regardless of the season outside. This controlled environment allows visitors to view religious objects and spend time inside without worrying about weather conditions.
The church preserves sacred relics including the Sven Icon of the Mother of God, remains of Saint Barbara, and a container holding a fragment of the Holy Cross. These holy objects draw pilgrims and believers to this location.
