National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art, Traditional folk art museum in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Ukraine
The museum exhibits over 75,000 pieces of Ukrainian decorative art across 1,500 square meters of exhibition space within former metropolitan chambers.
Founded in 1899 as part of the City Antiquity and Art Museum, the institution gained independent status in 1964 and received national recognition in 2010.
The collection displays regional artistic traditions through carpets, embroidery, ceramics, woodwork, glass, metalwork, and traditional Easter egg decoration from the 15th century onward.
Located at Lavrska Street 9, building 29 in Kyiv, the museum offers virtual tours and maintains a shop with art-inspired merchandise.
The museum houses the largest collection of Maria Prymachenko works, including 650 paintings, alongside thirty-seven pieces by renowned artist Kateryna Bilokur.
