Bila Krynytsia, Rural settlement in Velyka Oleksandrivka, Ukraine
Bila Krynytsia is a settlement in southern Ukraine positioned between the Inhulets and Vysun rivers within the flat steppe landscape. The area is shaped by agricultural land and local infrastructure typical of this region.
The settlement came under Russian control during the 2022 invasion before Ukrainian forces retook it in June of that year. A legal reclassification in January 2024 changed its administrative status to reflect changing conditions.
The settlement maintains traditional agricultural practices while incorporating modern industrial elements, representing a transition from rural to urban development.
The settlement is accessible through the Dubka-Snihurivka railway line, which provides the main connection for transport. Visitors should be prepared for rural conditions and plan any travel around this railway service.
In January 2024, new legislation changed the status of Bila Krynytsia from an urban-type settlement to a rural settlement.
