Liubymivka

Liubymivka is a settlement situated on the left bank of the Dnieper River in southern Ukraine, spreading near the boundaries of the Kakhovka area. The place rises to about 58 meters elevation and maintains connections to surrounding regions through rail and road networks.

The place received its classification as an urban-type settlement in the 1920s when Ukraine established new administrative guidelines. This designation shaped its development for nearly a century until legislative changes in 2024 altered its official status.

For decades, this place served as a center where farming and local administration coexisted in daily life. Residents experienced both rural traditions and the responsibilities of a municipal hub.

The Zapovitne railway station sits approximately five kilometers south and offers connections to destinations beyond. The main highway M14 runs toward Kherson and Melitopol, making vehicle travel straightforward for visitors passing through.

In January 2024, the place underwent a dramatic legal reclassification when new Ukrainian law transformed it from an urban-type settlement into a rural one. This sudden shift reflected broader administrative reforms reshaping how communities across the country were officially categorized.
