Kakhovka Raion

Kakhovka Raion is an administrative district in southern Kherson Oblast that covers a broad area combining urban centers and rural communities. Nova Kakhovka serves as its administrative hub, organizing local services and governance for the entire region.

The district was restructured in 2020 as part of administrative reforms in Kherson Oblast, consolidating several previously separate areas. This reorganization created the current form of regional governance and territorial boundaries.

The district contains fifteen hromadas, which are local administrative units combining both urban centers like Kakhovka and Nova Kakhovka with rural communities.

The area lies along the Dnieper River and offers access to various local administrative services and facilities. Visitors will find a mix of urban infrastructure in Nova Kakhovka and less developed settlements throughout the surrounding countryside.

The region was once home to a major industrial facility for welding equipment that shipped products to many countries. This economic importance shaped local development and made the area a significant production center.
