Borys Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery, National art museum in Lviv, Ukraine
The museum occupies a grand building in central Lviv, featuring multiple exhibition halls filled with paintings, sculptures, and decorative art pieces from different periods.
Established in 1907, the gallery started as a municipal institution and grew into a national museum, surviving two world wars while preserving its extensive art collection.
The gallery maintains over 60,000 artworks, including significant Ukrainian paintings, European masterworks, and a special collection of religious art from the 14th century.
The gallery provides guided tours in multiple languages, offers audio guides, and maintains dedicated spaces for temporary exhibitions and educational workshops.
The museum houses rare medieval artifacts recovered from abandoned churches across Ukraine through the efforts of former director Borys Voznytskyi.
