Stryjski Park

Stryjski Park is a 50-hectare green space in Lviv with winding pathways, ornamental bridges, and ponds lined with imported European trees and shrubs. The grounds include cafes, playgrounds, benches, and spaces designed for events and celebrations.

The park was established in 1894 during a Regional Exhibition that drew over a million visitors and transformed the land from wilderness into designed gardens. The original water tower from that era remains standing on the grounds.

The park hosts art exhibitions, concerts, and festivals where people gather for celebrations and social events. These activities shape how the city community uses this green space and comes together throughout the year.

The park is best explored on foot along its various walking paths, with rest areas and refreshment spots scattered throughout. Plan to spend several hours here, as the grounds are spacious and there is much to see at a comfortable pace.

A narrow-gauge children's railway has operated through the park since the Soviet era, offering visitors an unusual way to move through the grounds. This vintage train remains a working attraction that families still use today.
