Andriivka, Urban settlement in Volnovakha Raion, Ukraine
Andriivka sits at an elevation of 194 meters in eastern Ukraine, featuring residential areas connected by the Karan railway station.
The settlement emerged in 1947 through the combination of a railway station and the village of Kyzyl Tash, with the railway construction dating to 1882.
The population of 3,990 residents includes Greeks making up 40 percent, Ukrainians 38 percent, and Russians 21 percent of the community.
The railway station serves as a transportation hub, connecting the Mariupol-Volnovakha line with a branch extending eastward toward the granite quarry at Myrne.
The settlement transferred from Telmanove Raion to Volnovakha Raion in December 2014 due to administrative changes during the Donbas conflict.
