Karnaukhivka, Settlement near Dnieper River in Kamianske District, Ukraine
Karnaukhivka is a settlement on the right bank of the Dnieper River, located about 5 kilometers southeast of the industrial center of Kamianske. The community spreads along the riverside, serving as a transition zone between urban and rural areas.
The settlement was part of the Dijiwka Wolost until 1923 and later the Diyovka Raion until 1926, when it joined Kamianske City Council. These administrative changes shaped its historical path.
The settlement maintains its identity through multiple language representations, from Ukrainian Карнаухівка to Chinese 卡爾瑙希夫卡, reflecting its multicultural recognition across Eastern Europe.
Two railway stations at the 164th and 165th kilometer marks provide convenient rail connections to major routes between Dnipro and Kamianske. The riverside location offers easy access for those using rail transport.
In January 2024, new legislation reclassified the settlement from an urban-type status to a rural settlement through administrative reform. This legal change marks a significant shift in its official category.
