Construction of the temple began in the early 2000s on a site that once served as a city cemetery according to records from 1915. This conversion of the location marked a significant shift in how the neighborhood used the land.

The temple is named after Saint Prince Vladimir, a figure deeply venerated in Orthodox tradition. Visitors encounter religious artwork and decorations throughout the space that reflect this spiritual significance to the community.

During excavations, workers discovered bricks from the Ekaterynoslavsky factory dating to 1876 embedded in the ground. These industrial artifacts tell of past manufacturing activities that once took place here.
