Ratusha, Art Deco town hall in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.
Ratusha is the town hall of Ivano-Frankivsk, featuring a distinctive tower that rises 49.5 meters above the city. The building displays geometric patterns and symmetrical designs typical of 1930s architecture.
The original structure was built in 1662 under Count Andrzej Potocki but underwent several reconstructions over time. The current building was completed in 1935 by architect Stanislaw Trela.
The building houses a museum inside that displays the history and crafts of the city through different periods. Visitors can explore exhibits showing how Ivano-Frankivsk developed and changed over time.
An observation deck at the top of the tower provides complete views over Market Square and the city center. Clear days offer the best visibility for seeing the surrounding neighborhoods and major landmarks.
The structure has survived multiple political transitions from Polish administration through Soviet rule to Ukrainian independence. Despite these major shifts, it has continuously served as a civic center throughout all these periods.
