Tempel Synagogue in Ivano-Frankivsk

The Tempel Synagogue features brick construction with four symmetrical domes and large arched windows across its main entrance facade.

Wilhelm Stiassny designed this religious building in 1895 when the city was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and called Stanisławów.

The synagogue holds regular services under Rabbi Moyshe Kolesnik while maintaining a collection of Hebrew texts documenting regional Jewish heritage.

The building contains separate prayer halls for men and women, a mikvah ritual bath, dining facilities, guest rooms, and a community library.

This synagogue remains the only functioning Jewish place of worship in Ivano-Frankivsk, serving approximately 300 members of the local Jewish population.
