Former Roman Catholic cemetery in Ivano-Frankivsk

The cemetery grounds contain numerous preserved gravestones and mausoleums exhibiting traditional stonework craftsmanship from different historical periods throughout its existence.

Established in 1782, this burial ground served as the final resting place for over five thousand individuals from diverse backgrounds including Ukrainians, Poles, Armenians, and Germans.

The cemetery holds monuments dedicated to Ukrainian independence fighters, including members of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen and soldiers from the Ukrainian Galician Army.

The memorial park features three entrance gates accessible from Nezalezhnosti Street, Andrii Melnyk Street, and Stepan Bandera Street in the center of Ivano-Frankivsk.

Following reconstruction in 2002, the site transformed into a memorial square with a chapel decorated with stained glass windows depicting religious themes.
